This Week’s Word: Halcyon [hal-see-uhn] adjective
Halcyon has a number of definitions and all of them are pleasant. Alternatively, halcyon can mean calm, peaceful, and tranquil, or it can mean rich, wealthy, and prosperous, or it can mean happy, joyful, and carefree.
Sample Sentence:
Henry finally decided it was time to take a vacation to halcyon Hawaii.
